Open anything by name.
Apps, system commands and files. Nova learns what you pick, so “ch” means Chrome after the first time. Give any command an alias like ss.
⌥Space
Apps, clipboard, screenshots, files and developer tools in one panel that never makes you reach for the mouse.

⌥Space
Everything you copied and every screenshot you took, newest first. ↵ copies, ⌘↵ pastes into the app you were in. Password managers' secrets are never saved.
⌘⇧V
JSON gets formatted, JWTs decoded, timestamps turned into dates, the moment you paste them into Developer Mode.
⌥⇧Space
HEIC to JPG, DOCX to PDF-ready text, MOV to MP4, WAV to M4A, or a ZIP. Nova uses the converters built into macOS and never overwrites the original.
⌘E
Start dragging any file and the tray slides in. Park files there, then drag them all out together wherever they need to go.
⇢
A second panel, one hotkey away, holding the tools you would otherwise open five browser tabs for.
JSON, JWT, Base64, URLs, timestamps, colors and hex are recognised as you type.
Copy an API key with Touch ID. It is hidden from clipboard managers and cleared after 30 seconds.
See every listening port with its process, and kill it with ⌘⌫.
Open any git repository in your editor or terminal, or jump to it on GitHub.
Clipboard history, screenshots, files and secrets never leave your computer. Nova's server only knows your Google account email and name, to run your trial and the waitlist.
A one-time purchase, coming if enough people want it. Join the waitlist to hear first.
The beta is not notarized by Apple yet. Open Nova once, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose “Open Anyway”. You only do this once; updates install themselves after that.
Accessibility lets Nova paste into the app you were using. Files and Folders lets file search see Desktop, Documents and Downloads. Automation lets it read your Finder selection and toggle dark mode. Each is asked the first time you use that feature.
Spotlight uses ⌘ Space and Nova uses ⌥ Space. If another app already owns ⌥ Space, pick a different hotkey in Nova's Settings.
Nova stops opening the launcher and offers to add you to the lifetime waitlist. Your local data stays on your Mac.
Nova checks for a new version once a day and installs it in place. You never need to download a new DMG.
